Thyme (Origin: Mediterranean)
Did you know that Thyme prefers a mild climate? It can be grown from seed and will survive a freeze but may not survive a harsh Winter – especially if the soil is wet and poorly draining. As with many herbs, Thyme prefers soil with low fertility. Overly rich soil will provide larger plants that are much less fragrant.
