Endive

Did you know that Endive is also called Escarole? It is a cool season crop that can either replace or enhance a lettuce or green salad. Do not confuse Endive with Belgian Endive which is the young, blanched sprout of the Chicory plant!

Did you know that Endive is a cool weather plant with a relatively long growing cycle? You can either start early indoors for a quick plant and harvest or plant seeds four to six weeks before the last frost to maximize growth.
