Q: How often should I water my garden?
A: With Eco Garden Systems’ garden, you don’t have to worry about watering at all. Different from regular raised garden beds, it contains a water reservoir underneath the soil bed that allows the gardens to flourish even when left unattended for periods of time. The Automatic Watering System tracks soil moisture and will pump water from the reservoir to the top through the hoses located along the top of the garden.

Q: How much soil should I use in my garden?
A: With Eco Garden Systems’ gardens, it is recommended to have at least 10-to-12 inches of soil for vegetable roots to grow. We typically recommend using 16 cubic feet of soil, which is about eight large bags of soil.

Q: How much room does each plant need?
A: When planting your garden, make sure to map out where to place each plant dependent upon their growth trend; overcrowded plants never reach full potential. Tomatoes, green beans and peas should be planted along the edge of the garden, with lettuce and herbs planted in the middle.
